Attack/Healing spells

Fighting Spells

· Avada Kedavra(Killing Curse) – Causes instant death in a flash of green light, usually leaving no sign of physical damage or of the cause of death that would be detectable to a Muggle autopsy.

· Cave Inimicum- Defensive spell to keep enemies away.

· Confundo- Causes confusion. A person who is affected by this Charm is said to be Confunded

· Confringo(Blasting Curse) - Causes the target to explode.

· Conjunctivitis- A spell that affects the eyes and vision of the target.

· Crucio(Cruciatus Curse)- One of the "Unforgivable Curses," this spell causes the victim to suffer almost intolerable pain. Some victims of prolonged use of this curse have been driven insane.

· Densaugeo- Causes the victim's teeth to enlarge grotesquely.

· Deprimo- Blasts a hole through the target object.

· Diffindo- Spell that cuts something open.

· Duro- Turns the target object to stone.

· Engorgio- Spell which causes the target to swell in size.

· Evanesco- Makes something vanish (not just become invisible, but go away completely)

· Expecto Patronum-Conjures a Patronus, a silvery phantom shape, usually that of an animal, which is the embodiment of the positive thoughts of the caster. A Patronus will drive away Dementors.

· Expelliarmus- Causes opponent's weapon to fly out of his or her hand. The opponent is then said to have been Disarmed.

· Expulso- Blows up the target.

· Fiendfyre- Cursed fire, made up of flames of abnormal size and heat that can crumble fairly substantial objects to soot at a mere touch. Left burning long enough, the fire will take the shapes of gigantic fiery beasts (including serpents, chimaeras, dragons, and birds of prey) which will pursue any target humans.

· Finite- Stops a currently operating spell effect

· Homenum Revelio- Reveals human presence in the target area.

· Homorphus- A good charm to use against a werewolf. It’s exact effects are not given but it is said to ward them off.

· Impedimenta- Stops an object/person or slows it down.

· Imperio- One of the Unforgivable Curses, this spell causes the victim to be completely under the command of the caster, who can make the victim do anything the caster wishes. A victim of this spell is said to have been Imperiused.

· Incarcerous- Sends thick ropes out of thin air to wrap around someone or something.

· Incendio- Starts a fire.

· Levicorpus- Dangles the target person upside-down by the ankle in mid-air.

· Locomotor Mortis- Locks together the legs of the victim, making him or her unable to walk.

· Mobilicorpus- Moves a body.

· Morsmordre- Conjures an immense glowing skull in the sky, comprised of green sparks. There is a snake coming out of the skull's mouth.

· Obliviate- Modifies or erases portions of a person's memory.

· Obscuro- Blocks someone's vision

· Oppungo- Causes conjured creatures under the control of the caster to attack the target.

· Petrificus Totalus- Turns the entire body of the victim rigid.

· Piertotum Locomotor- A variation of the Locomotor spell, used to animate statues and armour.

· Protego- This spell creates a magical barrier that will deflect hexes thrown at the caster.

· Protego horribilis- A variation of Protego. (stronger)

· Reducto- Blasts solid objects out of the caster's path

· Relashio- Releases a jet of fiery sparks. Underwater, this spell fires a jet of boiling water.

· Sectumsempra- Cuts the target.

· Serpensortio- Causes a large serpent to burst from the end of the caster's wand.

· Silencio- Magically silences the target of the spell.

· Stupefy- Renders the target of the spell unconscious; this spell hurls a bolt of red light.





Healing Spells:


· Anapneo — spell to clear the throat of a choking victim.

· Brackium Emendo — heals brachial bones.

· Episkey — spell to treat mild to moderate injuries including split lips and broken noses.[1]

· Ferula - binds and splints fractures.

· Reparifors - heals minor magically-induced ailments like paralysis.

· Ossio Dispersimus - Removes bones.

· Tergeo — spell for clearing up dried blood from a bleeding wound, similar to the Scouring Charm.

· Vulnera Sanentur — spell used to heal deep gashes like those caused by the curse Sectumsempra
